Longines and Roland Garros : A history built to last !
Since the year 2007, Longines has been the loyal Partner and Official Timekeeper of the Roland Garros tournament. To pay tribute to this long-standing partnership, the Swiss watch company created two exceptional timepieces distinguished by their orange accents, which subtly bring to mind the emblematic clay courts of Roland Garros. In addition to providing the major Parisian event with its timekeeping expertise, Longines is looking to the future by organising competitions that aim to promote sporting activities among young people, along with the values that sport embodies, such as fair play, respect, integrity and fun. Longines is therefore holding the Longines Future Tennis Aces for the eighth year running, staging a tournament that brings together the most promising under-13 players from across the globe to compete in a championship worthy of the greatest professional players. Since the year 2014, Longines has also been involved in the "Rendez-vous à Roland-Garros" initiative, which seeks to discover the best clay court players from Asia and the Americas in order to give them the chance to net a wild card invitation to participate in the junior singles at the French Open. Furthermore, the winged hourglass brand is a partner of the "Roland-Garros in the city" event, which aims to promote the Parisian Grand Slam abroad and which brings the magic of the prestigious tournament to the cities of New York and Shanghai. Longines is also proud to count two tennis legends among its Ambassadors of Elegance: Andre Agassi and Stefanie Graf. The pair is committed to supporting charity foundations that the brand actively supports through a broad range of operations.
